The Trinity Journey

Our Cotlew Street campus is the home of our Early Learning Centre, Little Stars, and our Junior Years (Prep to Year 5).

Little Stars caters for boys and girls from two years of age with comprehensive full and part-time programs taught in our purpose-built centre.

Our Junior Years campus is a stand-alone P-5 primary school, but we have the resources many P-12 schools would envy: our own college hall, art room, music room, heated swimming pool, library, modern air-conditioned classrooms, sports grounds, canteen, learning support centre and more. The Junior Years is also a more intimate environment where our teachers know almost every student by name. It is an environment that allows children to develop at a slower pace, in keeping with their chronological age, outside the influence of older teenagers. Parents at our Junior Years stay more connected to their children’s school experiences, particularly beyond the Junior Years. This involvement is strongly linked to enhanced student success. Students in our Junior Years also take on leadership roles at an earlier age. Our Prep to Year 5 Buddy and Peer Support Programs foster important connections, increased confidence, and greater self-control for both the younger and the older children in our school. Our Junior Years is a safe haven for childhood offering a gentle passage into the more complicated Middle and Senior Years on our Ashmore Road campus.

Our Ashmore Road campus is home to our Middle and Senior Years. Trinity offers private bus services to its families, including a bus service that runs between the Cotlew and Ashmore campuses both mornings and afternoons to facilitate a one-stop drop off and pick up for families with children on both campuses. This unique service also develops independence and a sense of responsibility in our students, essential skills for life.

Our dedicated Middle Years (Years 6-9) provides a supportive bridge between the Primary and Senior Years. The purpose-built Middle Learning Precinct for students in Years 6 to 9 offers curricular programmes specifically designed for students who are dealing with a time of particular physical, social and emotional growth. The Middle Years' core curriculum is supplemented by first-rate educational facilities, co-curricular programmes and annual camps, ensuring a well-rounded education for every student.

Our Senior Years caters for Years 10 to 12, offering a challenging educational program of curriculum and co-curricular activities. Personal excellence is one of our key values and our teachers encourage our students to work towards achieving their individual potential and personal best in their academic, sporting and artistic pursuits, making the most of Trinity’s first-class grounds and facilities. Life in the Senior Years aims to equip students to become independent, capable young adults able to tackle the challenges of life beyond school and become valued members of a global community.

At Trinity we believe students learn best:

  1. When, through inquiry, they are actively involved in constructing their own understanding as part of their lifelong learning process.
  2. When their learning is relevant and purposeful and connected to prior learning, developing self-confidence for the present and the future.
  3. When learning is engaging, focused and learner-centred, offering a broad range of educational opportunities.
  4. When they have opportunities to share and reflect on their learning, in a spirit of cooperation and teamwork.
  5. When the curriculum is success-oriented and encourages individual excellence.
  6. When, through caring relationships and mutual respect, the learning environment is responsive to students’ needs.
  7. When the family and community are involved in the educational partnership.
  8. When lifelong learning employs a Gospel-centred approach.
