Hot cross buns, Easter eggs and Easter chocolate bunnies are in abundance at all the retail outlets as we enter the Easter season, but it is in fact a time for us to reflect on our lives and be thankful for the wonderful country, state, city, community and people with whom we have the privilege to be associated.
I am thankful for the amazing students God has brought to Trinity and for the delightful opportunity we have to educate and influence them daily. I thank them for the joy they bring to the life of the college and for making Trinity what it is – a school with a heart. I thank them for their co-operation with their teachers, tutors and coaches to try harder, persevere in the development of skills in all areas of their school life and for their support of the college’s events, and for upholding the college expectations in all areas of college life.
I am thankful for the supportive parents who chose to partner with Trinity in the education of your precious and lovely children. I thank you for the sacrifices you make financially to pay fees, your daily transporting of them to and from school, for supervising their completion of readers, spelling words, homework and assignments and for ensuring they attend sports training, tutorials and their ensemble rehearsals weekly. Your support in communicating positively with the college and its staff in this partnership is much appreciated.
I am thankful for the many volunteers from the community, parents past and present as well as past students, congregation members and members of the wider community for their sponsorship and support of our fundraising efforts. I pay tribute to the parents who volunteer tirelessly at the tuck shops as class helpers, class reps, P&F and various support groups. Thank you also to our alumni who support the college through alumni auxiliary and community events. I thank our voluntary college council members who meet monthly to govern the college.
I am thankful for our staff for their passion, dedication and tireless work daily to support our parents and students as well as their linking with the wider community to ensure that we provide the best possible educational services and experiences for our students and parents. I salute them for their wonderful work to make Trinity a special place in which to work and for me to lead.
I am thankful to
our God for his protection, provision, love and care for each of the members of
the community. Most importantly, we thank God for giving us his beloved son,
Jesus Christ, so that we may have a new life in him – giving us the reason to
It surely takes the whole village to raise a child. Each one of you is a large part of Trinity’s village and I give thanks daily for each and every one of you and for your contributions to the advancement of this village – Trinity.
Here’s wishing you a wonderful and meaningful Easter break.
