As we wrap up our 2016 Eisteddfod season, we would like to sincerely thank the community for their support of the 20 performances that took place off campus over the past 4 weeks.
The results have been incredible. Every single ensemble represented our college beautifully in the broader community through highly polished, entertaining and engaging performances. We should all be very proud of the 350 performers from Prep – Year 12 who bravely performed and gave their all. This has been a massive undertaking for the Performing Arts staff, students and their families.
We would like to sincerely thank the exceptional performing arts team and every single ensemble director, who spent hours with their students perfecting the drama, dance, choral and instrumental performances. We would also like to thank the individual private instrumental, dance, drama and vocal tutors, who work so hard with their students in private lessons, improving the skills that are then put into practice in our ensemble program. They are all very dedicated, passionate and driven arts educators, who give their hours for the benefit of our students and our performing arts program.
Special thanks to eisteddfod/dramafest directors: Simon Petty, Bruce Davidson, Arnya Reddrop, Cherie Smith, Nerida Humm, Mandi Traecey, Paula Guild, Johnathon Fife, Tanya Dobson, Brendan Morris and Jocelyn Moore-Carter. Your creativity and artistic expertise has been incredible. Thanks to these people and their talented students, our college has once again been recognised in the wider community as an all-round exceptional performing arts school.
Very few schools demonstrated levels of excellence across every discipline as we did. These included dance, drama, choral and instrumental throughout the 4 weeks of competition and this is a huge achievement for Trinity Performing Arts.
We are also very proud of and celebrate the stunning performances from the following ensembles, who performed in exceptionally tough sections: String Quartet, Hip Hop dancers, Dynamics, and Muzique Cantabile.
Very special thanks also to Toni Scott, who has facilitated the administration of all of these eisteddfod entries and performances, permission slips, buses, performance details and so the list goes on and on. Thank you so much Ms Scott.
Trinity Performing Arts, please take a bow. Outstanding effort – congratulations to everybody!
Ms Cherie Smith
