Thank You From Mr Howells
A sincere thank you to the Trinity community for their warm welcome and friendliness as I began my first few weeks at the college. The transition into a new environment can be challenging; however, with the support of professional colleagues, willing students and supportive parents, it has been very manageable. I look forward to playing my part within the Trinity Sport Program.
South Coast Cross Country Championhips
Eleven, fit and highly committed Trinity athletes competed with distinction at the recent South Coast Regional Cross Country Championships. The students who competed were: Chelsea Scott; Daniel Cooper; Charlie Jurd; Charlie White; Etienne Richert; Connor James; Jazmin Smith; Ella Jacobson; Weihan Jav Van Rensberg; Alanasia Malone and Amiel Cassidy. From this selection race, Alanasia (who claimed 1st place), Jazmin and Daniel all gained selection in the South Coast Cross Country Team to contest the Queensland Championships early in Term 3.
Queensland Hockey Team
Congratulations to Alanasia Malone for her selection in the Queensland Hockey Team. Alanasia and her state team mates will travel to New Zealand for competition later this year. This is an outstanding achievement that reflects her significant talent in the area of hockey.
Rowing: Welcome Mr Pistonik & Trophy Regatta Success
The Trinity Rowing squad have welcomed our new Rowing and Sports Performance Head Coach, Mr Andrej Pistotnik and have enjoyed his involvement at the recent training sessions and regattas. We are grateful to Mrs Jenny Pemberton for her 17 years of dedication to Trinity Rowing and were delighted when the Trinity Rowing squad proudly won the Pemberton Cup on Saturday 11 June at Lake Wyaralong. To claim the top prize for the third consecutive year is an amazing achievement and reflective of the dedication of all rowers and staff. A special thank you the Rowing Auxiliary for their tireless efforts in hosting the final GCRASRA regatta of the season.
