South Coast Athletics Championships
15 Trinity students competed with distinction at the recent South Coast Athletics Championships. On the back of exceptional performances, the following students have qualified for selection in the regional team to contest the Queensland Championships: Ermin Gucic (Year 6), Chloe Simpson (Year 6), Arkie Feehan (Year 9), Taneesha Clarke (Year 10), Jazmin Smith (Year 10) and Alanasia Malone (Year 11). Well done to the Trinity Athletes!
Congratulations to the Trinity Junior Athletics Team for their commanding performance at the recent Lutheran Schools Athletics carnival. Trinity emerged as Aggregate Champions (Div 2); whilst claiming the numerous age group trophies. Special mention to Jetty Jenkins (Year 5), Chloe Simpson (Year 6) and Ermin Gugic (Year 6) who broke records.
District Cricket Team
Congratulations to Year 7 student, Ryan De Silva for his selection in the District Cricket Team. Ryan has emerged as a dominant player within the Trinity Junior Boys Cricket Team and this form has continued onto the representative cricket scene.
Queensland Swimming Team
Congratulations to Year 12 student, Billy Chambers for his selection in the Queensland Short Course Swimming Team to contest the National Championships in late September. Billy emerged from the State Championships with a series of excellent performances which included gold medals and a new record.
The Summer APS Season is well under way with two rounds so far being completed. All the Trinity teams have produced commendable performances; especially our AFL and tennis teams. Special mention to our Open A Boys Basketball Team who claimed a tough victory over Coomera Anglican College last Friday. Admirably lead by Year 11 student, Daniel Peers, the team emerged victorious 36 – 26.
