← Easter Family Fun and Mother’s Day Stall

We ended Term 1 on a high with the Easter Service Sausage Sizzle at the Cotlew Street campus. We gave everyone the opportunity to join in fun activities directly after school – Trinity’s Messy Church craft activity was a hit, and allowed the kids to burn off some excess energy with good old fashioned sack bag races and tug-of-war. It would not have been a success without the generous sponsorship of the Super Butcher sausages from Sales Associate, Braden Lamb and Principal, Shane Colquhoun at Nerang LJ Hooker. We value their sponsorship and loyalty and it is always a pleasure to work with our friends at LJ Hooker. Braden invited the students to participate in the Easter Colouring In competition and we would like to congratulate the Trinity winners: 1W Joshua Busby and 4O Ayla Royle who both received Easter hampers (attached photos). Gyongyi Barany from the Trinity Aquatic Support Group delighted many parents with her tasty hot coffee and helped raise much needed funds for the Aquatic Club. It was fantastic to work with our parent helpers, Susan Anderson and Matt Power who helped us set up the event and serve our fellow families with a big smile. We always appreciate and welcome parent helpers. Finally, the P&F would like to acknowledge and thank the wonderful sponsors who kindly donated 38 amazing prizes to the FREE RAFFLE. Thank you for your participation and congratulations to all of the winners listed on the Parent Portal P&F tab.

The P&F Mother’s Day stall will be located in the Robert Hoff Community Hall on Thursday 5 May and each class will visit the stall during classtime to buy their special loved ones gifts on Mother’s day. All the gifts are displayed in the Cotlew Library, Ashmore Library and Student Reception. The children can “touch and feel” and start their Wishlist – it’s a great opportunity to give the children some jobs to earn their pocket money. We are grateful to Ms Melanie Naughtin’s Year 10 Business Studies students who will run the stall at Ashmore on Friday 6 May during Period 1 & 2 and also during morning recess break for those who can't attend during class time. It does not operate as a fundraiser – purely as a community service for our families to enjoy and utilise. Mother's Day Poster and Price list also available on the Parent Portal P&F tab.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Julie Swift-Hoadley for her loyalty and hard work while serving on the P&F Committee from October last year. Julie assisted us with the Christmas Fun Fiesta which was a huge success and we thank her for her assistance in organising such a fun and major event. The P&F Auxiliary members wish Julie and her family all the best as she takes on her MBA studies, and in her busy life. It’s not farewell completely as Julie will continue to serve as a Class Representative. Thank you Julie for your service and the many laughs we enjoyed together.

SAVE THE DATE: 6.00pm – 11.30pm Saturday 4 June. We are currently organising the 80’s Rewind Dinner Dance for our current and past families, staff and alumni to mark the 35th Anniversary. We welcome any form of sponsorship in goods, services or financial assistance. Book your babysitter or chauffer and keep an eye on this space for more details.

It’s a pleasure to serve our caring and friendly community. Please feel free to contact us on p&f@tlc.qld.edu.au (please take note of our new email address)
