  • What was your first job? My first job was a trainee position in a childcare centre in NSW.
  • How long have you worked? I have been working since 2008. I have been teaching for the last 2 years.
  • What’s the most rewarding part of your job? The most rewarding part of my job is watching the progression in my students, academically, socially and emotionally.
  • What is your educational background? Throughout university, I worked casually as a Childcare Worker. I then worked for 3 years with Children with Disabilities through the Cerebral Palsy League. Once I completed university, I worked for 1½ years at Queensland Independent College.
  • What are your interests/hobbies outside of work? I play social touch football at Robina once a week. I also love going to the gym. A big hobby of mine is to try different restaurants on the Gold Coast.
  • Where were you born? I was born in a small country town in NSW called Taree.
  • What is your favourite colour?My favourite colour is purple.
  • What is your favourite song (title and artist)? Currently my favourite song is We Don’t Talk Anymore by Charlie Puth.
  • What is your favourite cuisine? ITALIAN!! I could eat pasta 3 meals a day.
  • If we’re sitting here a year from now celebrating what a great year it’s been for you in this role, what would you say we achieved at Trinity? A community based, engaging and fun atmosphere at school.
  • When have you been most satisfied in your life? When I became an Auntie to the most precious boy, Oliver.
  • What do you like to do in your down time? Travelling – near and far.
  • What is your favourite family pastime? I am 1 of 6 children in my blended family. I loved growing up with so many siblings around. My favourite family pastime would be camping and the memories we created camping for 3 weeks every Christmas at Hawks Nest NSW – playing spotlight, riding bikes, boogie boarding, camp fries and toasting marshmallows.
  • How did you meet your partner, the love of your life? Through a mutual friend who was my university friend and his school friend.
  • What things do you not like to do? Cooking – I don’t necessarily not like to do it, I’m just not good at it.
  • Tell me about a project or accomplishment that you consider to be the most significant in your life? Attaining a job straight out of university.
  • What do you think is the next big thing in ICT? Virtual reality.
