It was wonderful for The Trinity Foundation to welcome160 guests to their Business Breakfast after a year of no events. The breakfast was again held at the Southport Yacht Club on Friday 12 March 2021 and it proved to once again be a fantastic venue for our guests.
Our speakers were two well-known sporting figures on the Gold Coast - Steve Mitchell, CEO of the Gold Coast Titans and Mark Evans, CEO of the Gold Coast Suns. Our panel discussed the business of sport on the Gold Coast and the challenges of managing large sporting organisations especially under the current conditions caused by the pandemic. It was a fantastic opportunity support the college, network a little, eat a lot and gain some great insight into the current key issues and challenges facing the sports industry.
The Foundation have also recently launched a unique fundraising initiative for our new Junior Aquatic Centre and during the Business Breakfast a very generous prize was raffled – a named seat in our new grandstand! Runners up from Channel 9’s hit show Lego Masters Andrew & Damian presented our raffle winner, Sid Super, with his prize valued at $1,000. Not only will Sid have his named seat, he will also be forever represented in our LEGO model of the Junior Aquatic Centre by way of his own uniquely designed minifig.
