Sunshine, School Spirit and Swimming = Success!

Fun, House Pride, Competitive Spirit and Participation were clearly on display at our inter–house swimming carnivals last week. Year 4 and 5 students lead the way on Thursday, whilst Year 6 to 12 closed the week with an exuberant display of house passion and performance. Both events blended ‘championship’ and ‘non–championship’ race opportunities for all students, and the introduction of the ‘House Swim’ proved a huge hit for all students. Mackenzie emerged victorious in the Senior School division; Strohmeyer dominated the Middle School category; whilst Stephan claimed the top prize in the Years 4 and 5 carnival. Congratulations to Cassidy (4), Emma (1) and Emily (1) who broke school records on the day and to the students who claimed age championship top three places. Thank you to the Trinity Aquatic Club for providing quality nutritional sustenance over the two days of competition and the Trinity Facilities Staff for their tireless efforts in setting up and dismantling the infrastructure for the carnival. Once again this event served as a quality lead in to the APS Championships and Hinterland District selection trials for our swimmers.Hope you enjoy all the photos that really capture the fierce competition and fun festivities of the day!
