P-3 Athletics Carnival
What a great day was had by all at the Prep to Year 3 Inter-House Athletics Carnival. We were blessed with pristine weather conditions, an excellent parent turn out and an opportunity for of all our students to showcase their athletics skills in a fun and exciting environment. Our Early Learning Centre participants were definitely a highlight of the event as they passionately racd In the 60m sprint, bolting down the track with fierce determination etched on their little faces. Throughout the carnival our students participated in myriad of athletic events, including: running races, relay races, high jump, javelin, shot put and an obstacle course; all for house points and the opportunity to test themselves against their peers. Congratulations to Stephan who claimed the Overall Aggregate Trophy, with Mackenzie and Strohmeyer narrowly behind. A huge thank you to Mr Davis for upskilling our students in readiness for the carnival and to the six house representatives who led by example and provided sterling leadership throughout the event. Furthermore, a sincere thank you to the Athletics Supporters Group (headed by keen parents Kathleen Smith and Teonie Jenkins) who convened the BBQ throughout the event. In the end, the countless smiles and the infectious enthusiasm showcased by our students provided an amazing cover note to what was an excellent inter-house carnival.
