On Saturday 11 August Mother Nature really turned on the sunshine, and our Ashmore Road campus oval was alive with laughter, family fun and lots of community spirit building activities. We had an amazing turnout from the whole community – including parents, grandparents, families,
friends and lots of old students and staff who came back and contributed, creating the wonderful warm community feel that Trinity is renowned for. With everything contained on the oval, children were able to enjoy the rides and game stalls whilst the adults relaxed on the grass or in the seating areas,
just chilling out and chatting and making the most of the sausage sizzle, bake stall, coffee shop and numerous food trucks.
Our amazing Director of Arts, Cherie Smith, organised all the wonderful entertainment provided by Trinity's talented Performing Arts staff and students who kept everyone entertained with a wonderful array of music, dancing and singing. The day ended with the Cent Auction draw and Silent Auction final bids and there were many very happy prize-winners who went home with awesome goodies under their arms!
The fete is organised by our amazing Parents and Friends Auxiliary, headed by President Lea Fitzpatrick and they did a truly fantastic job pulling it all together. We had wonderful support and sponsorship from a number of businesses and organisations for which we are incredibly grateful but, most of all, our thanks go to all of our beautiful staff, students and their families who donated, created, sorted, labelled, baked, danced, sang, volunteered, shifted boxes of books and heaps of baked goodies, cooked, and served. Every big or little thing that everyone did to make the day the fantastic success it was did not go unnoticed and we are so thankful for the incredible, inimitable community that is Trinity Lutheran College.
