Easter: A time to rejoice and be thankful for the gift of life, love and joy.

Thankfully the first week of term 2 did not bring the deluge we experienced over the last 2 days of term 1 and we were able to hold our much anticipated Easter Celebration. Although it was disappointing not to have held this event at the end of last term as planned, our students all did an incredible job of remembering their parts and sharing the Easter message with families on the Tuesday after Easter. Our P&F provided a free sausage sizzle prior to the service along with an abundance of Easter eggs, all supplied by our sponsor Drakes SUPA IGA at Ashmore City. We thank the P&F for their support in helping to create the lovely community atmosphere prior to the event.

Pastor Michael opened our Easter celebration, sharing his message through the Easter egg symbolising the tomb, the empty tomb and Jesus being alive in all of us. The Junior Years students expressed their interpretation of the Easter story through song, dance and drama. Both our Prep and our Year 2 students sang, the Year 5 Sacred Dancers did a beautiful dance performance and the Year 4 and Year 5 drama students performed the Easter story at intervals throughout the evening. Bible readings reminded us of God's messages and the Sparkles choir dazzled us with their bunny ears and their rendition of "This little light of mine". The evening finished in high spirits thanks to our Year 4 students who danced their hearts out to "Alive". A very big thank you as always to the Trinity community for your wonderful support of this event.
