After a successful first event last year, the Trinity's P&F Disco has become a much anticipated fixture on the school calendar. The second event on the first weekend in March definitely didn’t disappoint and our Cultural Precinct was once again buzzing with disco fever.
There was a fantastic turnout of students all dressed in their disco best and ready to unleash their moves on the dance floor. Our disco is split into Prep to Year 2, Year 3 to Year 5 and Year 6 to Year 9 to cater for the varying age groups and to ensure that everyone gets a chance to strut their stuff on the dance floor.
A sausage sizzle, lolly bar, glow sticks, coloured disco lights, glow-in-the-dark furniture and an impressive array of hits from the DJ made for an evening full of fun and energy, and our children all seemed to have a really wonderful time. A big thank-you to our parents for attending the event in support of your children so that they could have some fun with their friends.
It takes many hands to help set up and run a night of good clean fun like this for our children. A massive thank-you to our P&F, all their amazing helpers and the Middle and Senior Years Leaders and the Year 12 cohort (through the encouragement and persuasive powers of Mrs Houston) who filled goodie bags, decorated the Cultural Precinct, helped at the door, served at the barbecue, poured cordial and water, supervised the students and most importantly helped to clean up after all the fun was over and everyone had left. A big thank-you too to our Principal, Dr Wong and Heads of Campus, Mrs Thistlethwaite and Mr Braiden and all our other amazing members of staff who promoted the event and were there on the night supporting it.
