A Rip-Roaring, Fair Dinkum Good Time!

What a wonderful evening it was at the P&F Bush Dance last Friday evening. We were thrilled to welcome so many families to the College to enjoy it. Our P&F Auxilary and many other members of our Trinity community worked collectively to create a fun and friendly atmosphere, bringing families together to enjoy an evening of free entertainment and a feast of food, all in an incredibly beautiful setting. Country fever later got into full swing with Boogie Bushland Band, Maggie & Tim, the entertainers for the evening, and everyone had a rip-roaring, fair dinkum good time on the dance floor doing the Chicken Dance, the Hokey Pokey, the Mexican Hat Dance, the Barn Dance and lots lots more.

An event like this one does not just happen, it requires a lot of time and effort. We therefore have a number of people we need to thank for the part they played in making it the success it was:

  • College suppliers - XBC Business Technology and UMS Uniforms
  • Grand Motors Toyota
  • Mr Rob Molhoek
  • Mr Stuart Robert MP
  • Illuminated Rentals
  • Medland Orthodontics
  • Aussie Inflatables
  • CC Christopher Contracting Plumbing & Drainage
  • Damon Harris Concreting
  • Cherrier Mewton International

  • Kathy Cherrier
  • Melissa Brady
  • Eloise Han
  • Christopher Klopper
  • Matt Power
  • Nathan Schmidt
  • Joshua Coutinho
  • Corey Harris
  • David & Kathleen Christopher

  • Gayle Kleinschmidt
  • Tracey & Wayne Burton
  • Cindy Jackson
  • Nathan Schmidt for his help with setting up, serving and packing up of the Emerald City Bar area

We are so grateful for the incredible response we had from our loyal sponsors and families in support of the Mudge Family Fundraiser. The wonderful prizes they donated certainly helped Sandra Mendez-Cortes, Kristy Thompson, Karyle Said, Jo Ramsay to make this silent auction the success it was.

Special mention must be made of Megan Morris Award Recipient, Tiarne Coutinho who assisted the whole day and led the Wizard of Oz cast entertaining the children throughout the afternoon and on the dance floor. Thank-you too to our groundsman Raymond Nuss for his hard work, to College Captain Nick Lockhart and Rowing Captain Gemma Harris and their peers who managed the Year 12 Sausage Sizzle Fundraiser, serving our community with efficiency and smiles, to our SRC student body who provided free fresh hot popcorn and to all the many Ashmore students who came out in force to assist with the popcorn stall, barbeque, set up & clean up, entertainment and overall running of the event.

Last, but most certainly not least, a big thank-you to our incredible P&F Auxilary for the wonderful job they did in organising yet another amazing event.

Thank you to all our parents and staff who made the effort to attend this event, I think we would all agree that it was loads of fun and further enforced our strong sense of community. We look forward to more friend-raising and fun with you all at our end-of-year Fun Fiesta and Christmas Carols under the Stars in the 4th Term.
