Students of the college are able to access pool facilities on either of our campuses. They allow for important, and in some cases life-saving, training in a water environment as well as the development or introduction of students to swimming as a sport and/or recreation.
The Ashmore Road campus pool facility houses a 25m championship water polo standard pool and an adjacent covered warm-up pool, student change rooms, fully equipped first-aid room and grandstand seating. The Ashmore Road campus pool facility is utilised by our Middle and Senior Years students for sport and Health & Physical Education lessons, which include swimming and water polo practical lessons and APS (Associated Private Schools) sport activities. Swim carnivals are held during Term 1.
The Cotlew Street campus pool facility houses a 25m pool with adjacent changing facilities, kiosk outlet and grandstand seating. Junior Years students participate in swimming practical lessons and swim carnivals during Terms 1 & 4. College pools on both campuses have heating capability, which assists our students to maintain their swimming regime in a comfortable environment through the cooler months.
