Indoor Sports Centre

The John Stapleton Sports Centre was opened on Sunday 12 June 2011. The indoor sports centre was called the John Stapleton Sports Centre in recognition of 13 years of significant voluntary service to the college by Mr John Stapleton. For most of that time John served as Chairman of Trinity Lutheran College Council. Sadly, John passed away in January 2007.

During his time in governance at Trinity, John had oversight of a significant period of development of the college, including the amalgamation of the P to 12 college in 2002 and the subsequent development of purpose-built facilities for the Middle Years on the Ashmore Road campus. We are delighted to be able to honour and remember John Stapleton in this manner and extend our sincere thanks to John's wife, Mrs Bobbi Stapleton, for her permission to use John's name in this way.

This modern multi-use sports centre houses a regulation basketball court and is marked for badminton, volleyball and netball use. It accomodates retractable seating, has a fully equipped gymnasium, kiosk facility and an attached multi-use teaching/meeting space.
