Chapel services led by students, staff and the college pastors take place regularly each week. Parents and friends are always welcome to attend these services. Devotional activities occur within class and pastoral care group time, which further support faith and personal development, helping students conduct their lives and use their God-given talents so as to make a positive impact on those around them. Special mention must be made of Megan Morris Award Recipient, Tiarne Coutinho who assisted the whole day and led the Wizard of Oz cast entertaining the children throughout the afternoon and on the dance floor. Thank-you too to our groundsman Raymond Nuss for his hard work, to College Captain Nick Lockhart and Rowing Captain Gemma Harris and their peers who managed the Year 12 Sausage Sizzle Fundraiser, serving our community with efficiency and smiles, to our SRC student body who provided free fresh hot popcorn and to all the many Ashmore students who came out in force to assist with the...

This was the setting at the Prep to Year 3 Fun Run last week. We were blessed with fantastic weather, the event taking place in the best conditions. All our students proudly competed for their houses, taking off at great speed at the start of the race (with some even managing to continue this speed for most of the race), and trying their best to keep running for the entire 300m or 600m. Every student ran with vigor and determination, and also encouraged one another along the way. We were thrilled with the wonderful turnout of supporters we had on the...

The day commenced with the annual badge distribution presentation for the competing athletes, along with a motivational breakfast featuring vision of the historic performance of Australian athlete Andrew Lloyd when he won Commonwealth Gold in the 5000m. The tone was set for a courageous and exciting day of competition. Throughout the day it was very affirming to witness one common thread...

On the matter of fidgeting and tools to assist with concentration, research has shown that some children use fidgeting as a coping mechanism and certain tools do help them to stay focused and calm. Consequently, they are appropriate for home use if they are helpful for children...

James and his parents recently shared their experiences with us and we hope you enjoy the read... VELI AND JANELLE PARVIAINEN (PARENTS OF JAMES) Veli is Lutheran and we knew several families with children attending Trinity, all were very happy. There are so many, the first day of Prep, graduating Year 5, Year 12 Chapel and Graduating Ceremony, to name just a few. Within Australia, the restaurant industry alone is worth $12 billion a year, but hospitality jobs are definitely not restricted to just this industry. Hotels, cruise ships and conference centres all need staff and positions run from entry level, all the way up to management. There is also of course, a multitude of opportunities for entrepreneurs in this profession from event management to food styling to the entertainment industry (think MasterChef) and beyond. And, as the tourism, restaurant and leisure industries grow, more positions will be created, ensuring great job choice and stability. Each year a team of 2 to 4 Hospitality students from...
