Cody has a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology and works for the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research as a PC3 (high-containment) facility project manager in the Infectious Diseases and Immune Defence (ID2) Division and his division is currently lending a hand to the COVID-19 research effort. He was the 2019 Ironman Asia-Pacific age group champion, qualifying for the World Champs in Kona, Hawaii (the premier Ironman event)!


He oversees the research of high-risk infectious agents, such as HIV and Tuberculosis, and other lesser known potential biowarfare agents. His division attempts to identify novel drugs (or repurposed old drugs) that can be used to treat/cure these infections.
